THE ISLAND
Our story begins in Konda Maloba, a village on the isolated southern coast of Central Sumba embraced by boundless nature, far from the noise of the outside world. Nestled within a cove in a pristine, sheltered bay, it is a place where time slows, inviting you to reconnect with the rhythm of the sea, the land and nature. Here, every vista and minute detail is tied with tradition and history.
A Place to Belong
The Sea
The Bay
The Land
The story begins when the waves of the vast Indian Ocean crash into majestic limestone cliffs, rolling grasslands, jungle and white sand beaches. There one’s breath unites with the wind.
Sheltered in cove within a bay facing west to the sunset, is a reef covered by shimmering azure and turquoise waters. The immense dome of the sky arches above giving a rare sense of calm as we walk on white powder sand watching the ebb and flow of the sea.
Surrounded by one of largest national parks in the Lesser Sunda Islands, we walk between the massive trees of a primary forest, grasslands and gardens.
